First Aid is the process of healing yourself and others with various bandages found from cloth throughout the land of Azeroth. How does this relate to gold? The bandages that you create via First Aid can be sold in the Auction House, but the reason that you gain money with First Aid is because you save money by not wasting potions when you're out of combat.
First Aid is the last of three secondary professions. It can be learned along with fishing and cooking, and two primary professions.
